What Do We Mean By Sustainability?

At the Lee-Chin Institute, sustainability is about environmental, social and governance risks – and opportunities – for companies. We work to help the business leaders of today and tomorrow make strategic choices about sustainability issues, actions and investments.

Rotman has committed itself to moving towards the forefront of incorporating sustainability in its academic and research offerings in a world class business school.  We do this through a variety of ways:

• By developing resources that are designed to quickly spread and promote corporate sustainability concepts to professionals across the world
• Our sustainability major is designed to help students develop the skills required to be effective leader and strategist across a wide range of organizations in the social enterprise, environmental, and social finance sectors.
• Our sustainability focused student clubs provide networking and additional opportunities for skill development. Students from our clubs have participated in competitions for the Rotman Net Impact Corporate Social Responsibility Case Completion; the Hult Prize and the MBA Impact Investment Network and Training (MIINT) competition.
• Rotman also sponsors a number of events with high profile sustainability thought leaders.
