New Rotman Course on Accounting & Finance Aimed at Non-Financial Managers and Entrepreneurs.

Toronto – A new comprehensive five-day executive education program that equips non-financial managers with a clear understanding of the role finance and accounting play in business has been launched by the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Aimed at managers and entrepreneurs who may not have an understanding of finance and accounting, Finance and Accounting for the Non-financial Manager is specifically designed to be as relevant to real-life situations as possible through experiental learning.

“Finance and accounting are the language of business. Today, more than ever, it is imperative that managers, entrepreneurs and executives be able to read and interpret financial statements successfully,” says Prof. Partha Mohanram, who is the CGA Ontario Professor of Financial Accounting at the Rotman School.

“Throughout the program, participants will learn how to consider and assess the financial implications of strategic business decisions and increase their capacity to deliver their message using financial terminology and language. Managers will also develop the knowledge and skills to be able to contribute effectively to meetings of a financial nature and be exposed to different techniques for valuing companies,” adds Prof. Ramy Elitzur who is the Edward J. Kernaghan Professor of Financial Analysis.

The program will run March 18 to 22 in Toronto. Further information and registration information is available online at: www.rotmanexecutive.com/financeandaccounting
