June 18, 2014

Toronto – For more than 40 years, a team of MBA students at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management have offered a wide variety of management consulting services through the Impact Consulting Group.

Founded in 1972, Impact selects five new partners each spring from the Rotman Full Time MBA program. Partners are selected based on their integrative thinking skills, work experience and entrepreneurial sensibilities. This year, the team is comprised of Heather Duncanson, Johnathan Leizerovici, Neil Peet, Jessica Portelance and Shelly-Ann Rampersad. Their experiences range from industries such as healthcare, non-profit and entrepreneurship to management consulting. The team is now eager to offer clients timely solutions for a full-range of business problems to companies of all sizes.

"The Impact Team is made up of a diverse group of young professionals who are eager to apply their MBA knowledge to current business problems. This, combined with our extensive experience working in a broad array of fields, makes Impact a great opportunity for companies seeking top quality consulting at reasonable rates," says Impact partner Heather Duncanson, MBA '15.

Among the consulting services offered, the Impact team can provide clients with market research, market entry and growth strategies including business plans, financial modeling, customer strategy, as well as performance improvement.

"This year, we are incorporating business design practices into our repertoire as a new way to add value for our clients. Design thinking is going to give us a competitive advantage when it comes to business consulting,” adds Impact partner Shelly-Ann Rampersad, MBA '15.

"On the strength of its 42 year history, Impact has progressed to compete with the big consulting firms in offering practical internships to the best and brightest of Rotman's full-time MBA programme. Supported by an experienced board, and enjoying privileged access to the world-class expertise of Rotman faculty, Impact Consulting offers incredible strategic and problem-solving value." says Scott Rutherford, an instructor with the Rotman School’s Desautels Centre for Integrative Thinking and Chair of Impact's Board of Advisors.
