Rotman NeXus Supports Non-Profit Organizations With Consulting Services

Toronto, June 6, 2012 – By providing affordable management consulting services to non-profit organizations and social enterprises, a team of four MBA students at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management are helping these organizations maximize their social impact.

Rotman NeXus, which began its seventh year last month, offers fee-based consulting services which supports a broad range of business needs at all the different stages in the non-profit lifecycle, including planning and start-up to increasing capacity and expansion.

The consultants, who are entering the second year of the Rotman MBA program, each bring a deep understanding of management and business practices as well as their own experiences in the private and public sectors in Canada and internationally to the challenges facing their clients.

"It is really exciting to work with like-minded people, who are committed to providing creative solutions to the challenges faced by non-profit organizations,” says consultant Lexi Rose, MBA’13, who is joined this year on NeXus by Shehbaz Badesha, MBA’13, Michaela Garfield, MBA’13, and Brooke Sinclair, MBA’13.

Connected not only to the Rotman School’s world-renowned faculty, the consultants are also supported by mentors and a board of directors who provide insights from the non-profit, business and academic worlds.
