As a Rotman School of Management alum, you can receive a Rotman alumni email account to send emails with your Rotman brand. This is great for networking or applying for jobs. Set up your Rotman Alumni email account

You will continue to have access to your Rotman student email account until February 1, 2023. Your new Rotman Alumni email address will be emailed to you in the fall of 2023. Contact alumni@rotman.utoronto.ca if you have not received your new Rotman alumni email address by December 2023.

Backup and save important files

On February 1, 2024 your Rotman student email account will expire, and you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your @rotman.utoronto.ca address. Again, to ensure that you keep any important files that you need, we recommend creating a back-up file of your student email account. On February 1, 2024 your student Office 365 license expires along with access to applications such as Microsoft Office, OneDrive, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams. To ensure that you keep any important files that you need, we recommend backing up files you may have stored within Microsoft OneDrive. Download the guide to back up your OneDrive.

Can I still send or receive emails from my @rotman student email address after February 1, 2024?

» No.

Can I forward emails sent to my @rotman student email address to an alternate email address after February 1, 2024?

» No.

What do I do if I used my @rotman student email address to register for an online service/subscription?

» We recommend that you update the account with an alternative email address before February 1, 2024.

What if I am in contact with recruiters or others with my @rotman student email address?

» We recommend that you proactively reach out to all of your contacts to provide them with your updated email address. This may be a good opportunity to touch base with recruiters and other contacts.

» You may also want to set an automatic reply on your @rotman student email address to notify contacts of your new alumni email address.

My student Microsoft Office 365 license will expire on February 1, 2024. How will this impact me?

» Your Microsoft Office Pro Plus installations on your devices will expire and you will lose access to Microsoft online applications including OneDrive, OneNote, Microsoft Teams and your files on those applications. We recommended creating a backup of your U of T OneDrive files so that you don’t lose them.

Will my new Rotman alumni email address expire?

» Your Rotman alumni email address has an “abandonment policy” that will close any email accounts after 6 months of inactivity. To avoid the closure of your alumni email account, we recommend forwarding your Rotman alumni email address to a personal email address.

I am actively working at UofT, how do I continue to access my U of T email account and MS Office 365?

» You will still have access to your U of T email account (including the content).

» Your UofT email account will continue to receive email sent to your alternative U of T email addresses (i.e. @mail.utoronto.ca, @alumni.utoronto.ca, @utoronto.ca).

» We recommend you update your default U of T email address before February 1st, 2024 from https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/changeUTmailFrom.pl

» Your Microsoft Office 365 license will not expire

If you graduated from the Rotman School of Management with a graduate degree between 2019-2022, your Rotman Alumni email address and set-up instructions were emailed to you in the Winter following your graduation date. If you do not have a record of your Rotman alumni email address, contact alumni@rotman.utoronto.ca.

Class of 2018, and prior years, Instructions and FAQ

If you graduated from the Rotman School of Management with a graduate degree in 2018 or earlier, you can request a Rotman alumni email account using this form. Once submitted, Rotman will verify your status as an alum and respond with your new Rotman alumni email address.

» No. As of May 15th, 2021 the Rotman Alumni email forwarding service is ending.

What do I do if I used my @rotman student email address to register for an online service/subscription?

» We recommend that you update the account with an alternative email address before May 15th, 2021.

What if I am in contact with recruiters or others with my @rotman student email address?

» We recommend that you proactively reach out to all of your contacts to provide them with an alternative email address. This may be a good opportunity to touch base with recruiters and other contacts.

What will happen after May 15th, 2021 if an email message is sent to my @rotman student email address.

» The recipient will receive an automated message letting them know the message was not received. This message cannot be changed or personalized.
