Teaching and Research
In achieving its goals, the Centre has a two pronged approach:
Firstly – researching new ways of looking at and delivering accounting education at the university level as a first entry point into the accounting profession – recognizing that accounting education is the first step in the learning continuum for professional accountants. This will involve development of frameworks and theories, as well as new courses. It will entail enrichment at the program level.
Secondly – investing in and enriching existing courses that are being offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels on all three campuses of the University of Toronto.
Currently, several proposals are being funded in each of these areas.
