Bio

Don is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Chair Emeritus of the International Centre for Pension Management at Rotman. He is currently Chief Investment Strategist at QIA, the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the State of Qatar. Prior to that, he served on the founding senior management team of Canada Pension Plan Investments, as its first head of Public Market Investments and subsequently as its first Chief Investment Strategist. Prior to joining CPP Investments, Don worked for Goldman Sachs in New York and Schlumberger in China. He has also served as Chair of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Investment Committee of Queen's University and on the Board of Directors and Chair of the Investment Committee of Great-West LifeCo. He holds a PhD in engineering from Queen's University, specializing in nonlinear systems.
