Board Shareholder Confidence Index

Since 2003 CCBE has been measuring and monitoring shareholder confidence. It has become the standard by which Canadian corporate governance is measured.

CCBE has been compiling the Board Shareholder Confidence Index since 2002, considering corporations listed on the S&P/TSX Composite Index in regards to their Director independence, board structure and board output. The BSCI has come to set the standard for Canadian corporate governance practices, and improved scores over time indicate remarkable progress towards best practices.

The Clarkson Centre's work on the Board Shareholder Confidence Index is made possible with the support of Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.
