Every year as part of Reunite at Rotman, we recognize outstanding alumni with Rotman Alumni Awards. These graduates exemplify the Rotman values of diversity, excellence, respect and integrity. They have been incredibly successful while giving back to their organizations and communities.

Corporate Tables of 8 are $12,000

Individual Tickets are $1500

Tables and tickets are eligible for split receipting, with a portion of the proceeds being directed to support school’s current priorities.

Eliza Casinather, M/E MBA '15
Director, People and Culture, CIBC

Eliza brings over 13 years of experience in strategic consulting, program delivery, human resources and technology across retail banking, capital markets, real estate, and people and culture. Eliza has distinguished herself as a strategic and inclusive leader, a trusted advisor, and transformation catalyst. In her current capacity as the Director of Talent for CIBC’s Capital Markets group, she supports the global Capital Markets business in achieving strategic talent objectives, delivering profitability and growing the franchise.

Outside her day job, she is a strong advocate for the advancement of women and underserved talent segments and serves on the Canadian Association of Urban Professionals’ Board of Directors, the Canadian Paralympic Committee Human Resources subcommittee and the Girls E-Mentorship Engagement committee.

Eliza holds a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management and University of Melbourne, Australia along with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.

She considers herself a global citizen and avid traveler having lived in 5 countries and visited over 70 countries. When she is not traveling or travel blogging on social media (@passportsandlattes), she can be found spending time with her family and enjoying the best of Toronto.

Dr. Rajeev Chib, EMBA '08
Asia CAO -Financial Institutional Sales & Solutions, Citibank

Dr. Chib is a seasoned capital markets professional with 25 years’ international experience with leading financial institutions based in Hong Kong, New York, and Toronto. He is the Regional Asia Head of Client Facilitation & Business Management across Investor Sales and Relationship Management at Citi Global Markets in Asia Pacific region. Dr. Chib and his team are responsible for partnering with Sales & Relationship Management and delivering Citi’s extensive investor client strategy across all products and geographies in the region within a risk-controlled framework.

Dr. Chib is a member of the APAC Investor Sales & Relationship management team, and Co-Chair of the COO Markets committee of Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). Before taking on his current position in October 2013, Dr. Chib was the Equities Business Unit Manager for Asia Pacific. He was responsible for Business Unit Management functions related to equities products. Dr. Chib has a Doctorate in Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong, an Executive MBA from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics (with honours) from the University of Toronto.

Barry McInerney, BCOM '85, MBA '87
Former CEO, Mackenzie Investments

Mr. McInerney was raised and educated in Canada and is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, spending equal time over his 35-year career working and living in both countries. For the past 25 years, Mr. McInerney led Canadian, US and global investment companies based in New York, Chicago, and Toronto.

In June of 2022, Mr. McInerney retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mackenzie Investments. During his six-year tenure, Mr. McInerney more than tripled assets under management, doubled earnings, experienced record sales, and revitalized the culture, diversity, and purpose of Mackenzie Investments with a modern, future-oriented business model and leadership style.

Recent awards include the CEO of the Year in 2020 by Wealth Professional, the number one ranking of CEOs in Canada in 2021 by Glassdoor, and the Alway Award in 2022 from St. Michael’s College (University of Toronto) in recognition of demonstrating the highest character in contributing to society through personal, professional, and spiritual leadership.

Prior to joining Mackenzie Investments, Mr. McInerney was Co-Chief Executive Officer of BMO Global Asset Management, responsible for BMO’s asset management businesses in the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. These businesses grew ten-fold via organic growth and several significant acquisitions during his seven years of leadership.

Prior to BMO, Mr. McInerney was the Managing Director for Russell Investments’ institutional asset management business in the US and Canada, and Russell’s global consulting business. He also served as a member of Russell’s Global Management Committee and the Russell Trust Company Board.

Mr. McInerney began his career at Mercer Inc. where he held a number of senior leadership positions including founding President of Mercer Global Investments in the U.S. and globally, President & Chairman of the Mercer Trust Company, and President of Mercer Investment Consulting in the U.S. and Canada.

Mr. McInerney is a graduate of the Master of Business Administration and the Bachelor of Commerce programs at the University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) designations.

Mr. McInerney serves on the Rotman School of Management’s Dean’s Advisory Board (Toronto, Canada) and is a past member of the Boards of China Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China), Northleaf Capital Partners (Toronto, Canada), St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation (Toronto, Canada), Black North Initiative (Toronto, Canada), Alpine Canada (Calgary, Canada), Heartland Alliance (Chicago, USA), Roosevelt University (Chicago, USA), Children Home and Aid (Chicago, USA) and The Investment Company Institute (ICI) (Washington, DC, USA).

Mr. McInerney is a frequent speaker on the topics of investment, demographic, and geo-economic and capital market trends.
