  • "Recommendations From the Final Report of the Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance"

    In April 2018 the Honourable Bill Morneau (Minister of Finance) and the Honourable Catherine McKenna (Minister of Environment and Climate Change) announced the creation of the Expert Panel on Sustainable Finance chaired by Tiff Macklem, Dean, University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. The three other members of the Expert Panel are: Andy Chisholm, Corporate Director - Royal Bank of Canada; Kim Thomassin, Executive Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Secretariat, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec; and Barbara Zvan, Chief Risk & Strategy Officer, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

    The Expert Panel consulted widely with industry, financial services, governments, regulators, professional bodies, think tanks, academia and others to assess the state of sustainable finance in Canada, and make recommendations to develop and scale sustainable finance in support of Canada’s climate objectives and economic ambitions. At this public event Amanda Lang will lead a discussion with the four members of the Expert Panel on the recommendations in their Final Report.
